Santa to call city children through North Pole Calling Program

Does your little one want a call from Santa? If so, then you’ll want to get connected to the North Pole Calling Program.

The North Pole Calling Program, coordinated by the city’s Department of Community Development Recreation Program, in conjunction with Santa’s helpers, offers City of Pittsfield children in kindergarten through second grade a very special opportunity to speak directly with Santa Claus or Mrs. Claus.  Calls will be made from 5-7:30 p.m. on the evening of Wednesday, Dec.14 and Thursday, Dec. 15.

Sign up forms will be sent home with children in these grades. If children are older and still would like a call from Santa, be sure to get their names on the list as well. The forms are available online and in the Clerk’s Office, in Room 103 of City Hall, 70 Allen St. or through the Department of Community Development website,

Completed forms must be returned by Wednesday, Dec. 14.  In 2015, more than 140 children received a call from Santa.

For more information, please call Santa’s chief scheduler, Becky Manship at 413-499-9370.
