On Monday, March 28 through Friday, April 1, Maxymillian, the contractor, will continue working on the installation of light pole bases as well as start working on hydrant relocations. Construction work will start at 7 a.m.
On Monday, light pole work will begin on the east side of North Street near Maplewood Avenue. It will then move south on the east side of North Street working its way to Eagle Street by the end of the week. Small isolated sections of sidewalk will be removed so the area can be prepared for the installation of new streetlight bases. This work will cause minimal inconvenience to businesses, pedestrians, and vehicular traffic. At times the work will impact parking spaces.
A second crew will begin hydrant relocations. This will cause some disruptions to vehicular traffic at Linden and Union streets as barriers will need to be installed in the road to perform the work.
Vehicular traffic will be guided with signs, cones, and drums allowing traffic to travel safely to the downtown area.
