Home : Work Order System
The Building & Grounds Maintenance Department has installed and will be implementing on July 20, 2009 a Computerized Maintenance Management Software System called Workorderama. Workorderama is a software application for managing facilities- related work orders, service requests, asset management and preventative maintenance work. It includes screens and reports for managing general work order info, equipment assets, preventative maintenance schedules and procedures, parts inventory, vendors/workers and related property information.
Workorderama features a Web browser application interface that will allow staff and selected building occupants to request work orders via the Internet from their Web browser. This Web –Based Requester Interface is simple and easy to use – click on a link ( or favorite) in either the City or School Web site, enter a User Name and Password and voila’ your in! The Web Link is located on the City web site will be located under E-Services in the right hand corner of the Home page. There are a few required fields to fill out on the request form – Building, Room #, Location description and a brief description of the request - then click the Submit button; it’s as easy as 1-2-3.
Once the request has been submitted, the requester receives a tracking number that gives them 24/7 access to the current status of the job. In addition, the System automatically sends custom tailored emails at various stages of the work process. The requester will get email notification of 1) receipt of the request; 2) generation of a Work Order number and assignment to a worker/vendor; and 3) order completion.
