The City of Pittsfield’s Department of Community Development Recreation Program’s annual Community Bike Ride will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 27, at the Controy Pavilion on Onota Lake at Burbank Park.
Registration for this free event will begin at 9:30 a.m. The route will begin at the Controy Pavilion, head to Pittsfield State Forest and then return to the Pavilion, for a roundtrip that falls just under 6 miles; a police escort will accompany riders.
An obstacle course and bike limbo will be provided by Berkshire Bike and Board; the company will also provide on-site maintenance before and after the ride.
In addition to Berkshire Bike, this year’s event is also sponsored by Berkshire Mountain Bike Training Series, Guido’s Fresh Marketplace, Lee Bank, IUE CWA Local 255 and Amenitek.
