Pittsfield City Hall closing at noon, Tuesday, March 14th

Due to inclement weather conditions, Pittsfield City Hall will close at noon today, Tuesday, March 14.

As such, tonight’s City Council meeting is also canceled. Other noontime closures include the Berkshire Athenaeum and Ralph J. Froio Senior Center.

The city’s Department of Public Services (DPS) will be open throughout the duration of the storm to provide assistance for snow plowing emergencies. To report an issue, please contact 499-9314. For other public safety emergencies, please call 911 for assistance.

A snow emergency and on-street parking ban, except for North Street, is still in effect through 7 a.m. Wednesday, March 15. If possible, please stay off the roads to allow city plows to clear the streets throughout the day and evening.

Parking restrictions for the McKay Street Garage are waived as both this garage and the first floor of the Columbus Avenue Garage are open and available for parking today.

As a reminder, please keep fire hydrants and sidewalks shoveled and accessible in case of emergencies.
