There will be soon be a few new additions to Tyler Street.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Thursday, Sept. 14 for 10 new trash receptacles that will be installed on Tyler Street in the coming weeks.
The ceremony, held at the former Tyler Street fire station, was attended by Mayor Linda M. Tyer, David Turocy, Commissioner, Department of Public Services and Utilities, Diane Marcella, president of the Tyler Street Business Group, and representatives from Tyler Street Transformative District partner organizations.
The installation of the trash bins are part of an ongoing effort toward the revitalization of Tyler Street, the heart of the Morningside neighborhood; five bins will be installed on each side of the street.
The bins were made and designed by local vendors Tyler Street Welding and Dr. Vinyl of Western Massachusetts.
