Press Release: Streetscape Phase 4 Update - week of Oct. 17th

Streetscape Phase 4 Update

Construction for the week of Oct. 17-21

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – For the week of Oct. 17, Streetscape contractor Maxymillian will continue installing wayfinding signs, as well as performing general site cleanup and housekeeping. Construction work will start at 7 a.m.

Line painting is scheduled to continue overnight Monday into Tuesday morning.

CSL Landscaping will continue to install plantings throughout the week.  Parking may be restricted at certain times in order for the landscaper crew to access planting areas.

Harbour Roads is tentatively scheduled to install the new texturized crosswalks during daytime hours.  This work will cause disruptions to traffic.

Eversource contractor, Burke Electric, will continue work on replacing the top of a vault on the north corner of Bradford and North streets (near Methuselah).  The sidewalk will be closed in this area and excavation will be protected with barriers and fencing.  Once this work is complete final sidewalk restoration can be completed at this corner.

Temporary disruptions to vehicular traffic may reduce traffic to one lane in both directions.  Vehicles will be guided with signs, cones, and drums allowing traffic to travel safely in the downtown area.
