Berkshire Athenaeum and Habitat for Humanity to offer Financial Planning Series

The Berkshire Athenaeum, in partnership with Central Berkshire Habitat for Humanity, is offering a free workshop series on financial planning beginning Thursday, Feb. 18.

The series will run on consecutive Thursdays through March 31. Each workshop, which will begin 10 a.m. through noon in the Athenaeum Computer Lab, will utilize the “You Need a Budget” (YNAB) budgeting software (familiarity with basic computer keyboard and mouse usage is recommended). Leading the sessions, Habitat’s Financial Empowerment Director Lin Schreiber will help participants to achieve financial stability, save money and break the paycheck-to-paycheck cycle. At the end of the series, participants will gain a customized budget that meets their needs.
