The Berkshire Athenaeum is pleased to welcome back genealogist, Alan Horbal, who will offer a consecutive four-week workshop on researching ancestors using the 1900 through 1940 census, as well as a host of other helpful immigration websites.
The classes, which are free and open to the public, will be held 10 a.m. - noon on four successive Tuesdays: Oct. 20, Oct. 27, Nov. 3 and Nov. 10. The series is sponsored by the Local History Department of the Athenaeum and the Berkshire Family History Association.
Please note that due to the popularity of these workshops, participants are asked to commit to the entire series before registering; prerequisites for the workshop include Internet proficiency and an established email address. Additionally, participants can bring their own laptops; however, for those who do not have one, the library will provide in-house computers.
As each session is limited to 10 participants, early registration is strongly encouraged. To register, please call the Local History Department at 413.499.9480 ext. 6 or visit pittsfieldlibrary.org and click on the Calendar of Events page.
