RSVP Volunteers Honored by Junior Achievement

On May 19th at a dinner held in Springfield, MA, given by Junior Achievement of Western Massachusetts, Junior Achievement honored two of our RSVP Berkshire County Volunteers, a Pittsfield educator, and one of Pittsfield’s Elementary Schools.

Andy Mickle, a teacher at Stearns, who is and has been instrumental in the partnership with Stearns, Junior Achievement and RSVP, was named Teacher of the Year of Berkshire County by Junior Achievement of Western Massachusetts and  Stearns Elementary School was acknowledged and honored for having full school participation with  Junior Achievement of Western Massachusetts.
                                       
Jean Ryan, RSVP volunteer at Stearns, received the GOLD Peak Performance Volunteer of the Year Award from Junior Achievement of Western Massachusetts. Jean teaches the Junior Achievement Program at Stearns for grades K, 1st and 2nd grades. 

Carol Maynard, RSVP volunteer at Stearns, received a SILVER Peak Performance Volunteer of the Year Award from Junior Achievement of Western Massachusetts. Carol teaches the Junior Achievement Program at Stearns for grades 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. 

RSVP Berkshire County is proud and honored to be able to work with Jean Ryan, Carol Maynard, Andy Mickle, and Stearns Elementary School and we thank them for all that they have done, all that they do and everything they continue to do for the children of Pittsfield.
