(Pittsfield) - The Pittsfield Department of Community Development Recreation Program has announced its annual Community Bike Ride event. The ride will take place Saturday, May 16, at the Controy Pavilion on Onota Lake at Burbank Park; rain date is May 23. The ride begins at 10:00am, with rider registration for this FREE event from 9:00 to 9:45am. The route will begin at the Controy Pavilion, head up to Pittsfield State Forest and back to the Pavilion making the ride just under 6 miles round trip; younger riders are encouraged to ride the trail along Onota Lake at Burbank Park. Come join us for a leisurely, scenic bike ride!
Mayor Bianchi stated, “The bike ride is another great opportunity to get out and enjoy Pittsfield in the spring. In added advantage to the ride this year is that it will provide bonus points if you are participating in the Mayor’s Fitness Challenge. I hope to see you there.”
