Berkshire Athenaeum Children's Library Special Event

The Berkshire Athenaeum is pleased to announce a special performance!

Please join us for as The Puppet People presents “The Firebird”. This performance takes place in the Auditorium of the Berkshire Athenaeum on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 1:00 PM.

This magical puppet fantasy is truly for all ages. Inspired by the Russian folktale and popular ballet, it features beautifully handcrafted marionettes, lavish costumes, a vivid set and is masterfully accompanied by Stravinsky’s musical score from the ballet of The Firebird.

Performers Michelle Smith-Carrigan and Mark Carrigan, better known as the Puppet People, have been entertaining people for over 20 years. They have performed at many theatres, schools, festivals, museums, community centers and have performed at Lincoln Center. They create all their own puppets, scenery and scripts.

This 50 minute family event is free and has been generously sponsored by the Friends of the Berkshire Athenaeum.
