Berkshire Athenaeum Special Event on September 20th, 2014

The Berkshire Athenaeum is pleased to announce that “Curiosity Day” is coming to the library!

Kids of all ages are invited to come meet Curious George himself on Saturday, September 20th 10:30AM-Noon. There will also be snacks, crafts and all sorts of activities to encourage every child’s curiosity, including five different activity stations that will promote Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math as part of the Full STEAM Ahead programs coming soon to the Berkshire Athenaeum.

The author of Curious George, H(ans) A(ugusto) Rey, was born on September 16, 1898, in Hamburg, Germany. He grew up there near the world-famous Hagenbeck Zoo, and developed a lifelong love for both animals and drawing. For seventy years Curious George has been capturing the hearts and minds of readers throughout the world and has become one of the most beloved and most recognizable characters from children’s literature.

This family event is free. No registration is required but children under 10 must be accompanied at all times by an adult over 18 years of age.
