Arbor Day & Ribbon Cutting Celebration Planned in Pittsfield

Mayor Bianchi  announces that the Pittsfield Department of Community Development Parks and Recreation Program will be hosting an Arbor Day and Ribbon Cutting celebration on Friday, April 25 at 12:00 pm at Wild Acres on South Mountain Road.  Bill Lattrell, a Professional Wetland Scientist and Restoration Ecologist who has dedicated his professional career and private life to the understanding of natural history and the ecological community, will serve as the keynote speaker.  Following the ceremony, there will be an opportunity to take a guided hike through the park.

This free event is being sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Program and RSVP.  The celebration will take place rain or shine.  Light refreshments will be provided.
