About Mayor Dan Bianchi
A lifelong resident of Pittsfield, Mayor Dan Bianchi is a dedicated father, husband and businessman who built a career out of helping small companies across the region meet their energy needs.
A graduate of Pittsfield High School, Mayor Bianchi earned a bachelor’s degree in Business and Finance at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He served in the Army National Guard for seven years, beginning a commitment to public service which has continued for his entire adult life.
Prior to seeking the office of Mayor, Dan served as Pittsfield’s Director of Administration and Finance, followed by five terms as a City Councilor representing Ward 6. As City Councilor, he was Chairman of the Public Health and Safety Committee. He has also served as a member of the West Side Initiative Steering Committee, the Democratic Ward Committee, St. Mark’s Parish Council, UNICO, and was president of the Pittsfield Kiwanis Club.
Mayor Bianchi and his wife, Theresa Harrison Bianchi, are the parents of three children; Benjamin, Matthew and Madeline.
