The Purchasing Department has created this site to furnish general information to all interested parties and to provide prospective bidders with the tools necessary to navigate the procurement process.  We have added many helpful links that we hope you find useful.

OUR MISSION

The Purchasing Department is responsible for procuring quality goods and services necessary for the operations of all City departments, at the lowest possible cost. It is the responsibility of the Purchasing Agent to ensure that all purchases are made in compliance with Massachusetts General Laws governing public purchasing. The Purchasing Department is also responsible for the disposal of surplus City property. All purchases/disposals are made in accordance with state law and City ordinance applicable to public purchasing.
