***********THE PARK IS OPEN**************

and you should, too!!! Live to skate and bike another day.

The City has completed the development of a new 'skate plaza' at the corner of East Street and Appleton Avenue. Using funding provided by the MA Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, along with capital funding provided by the City of Pittsfield, the project design phase was initiated in early March and will be completed by the end of June, 2011. Construction of this concrete skate 'plaza' will begin in the fall of 2011.
The City of Pittsfield has been working with landscape architects from VHB, Inc. and a local steering committee to design the new park. Visit this page often for the latest information on this project as it moves along through design and into construction.
FINAL DESIGN: Here's what the skate park will look like!!!
