Spring 2012 River Clean Up Schedule
The City of Pittsfield is proud of its natural setting in the heart of the Berkshires. In order to ensure that this setting remains healthy, vibrant, and a community asset forever, many policies and programs are in place that are carried out by staff throughout the City.
In 2007, to bring greater guidance and a more proactive approach to the City's natural resource protection efforts, the Park, Open Space and Natural Resources Program was created. The program is carried out by the Program Manager with assistance from other City staff. The program has five major areas of activity:
Powering Pittsfield: A Community Energy Initiative

Urban Forestry
