MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (MIS)

The MIS / Payroll Department provides support for computers throughout the City departments. The department's responsibilities include administering an integrated platform which include: Windows, AIX/RS6000, and an IBM-AS400.  The main database system (Munis) handles payroll, and all related reports for both the City and School Department, which is approximately 2000 employees. Processing of excise tax, real estate, personal property, utility billing, city clerks, retirement, accounting and accounts receivable functions are also handled thru this department.
