The 2nd annual juried show of contemporary photography of Pittsfield, Massachusetts
January 14th -March 5th, 2011 | Lichtenstein Center for the Arts

Berkshire City: Celebrating Pittsfield is the second annual juried photography exhibition designed to showcase the city of Pittsfield, its unique neighborhoods, people, history, arts & outdoors. This year’s photography show will feature images that celebrate Pittsfield in every way imaginable and will be the first official event celebrating Pittsfield’s 250th birthday in 2011. This exhibit is open to all photographers, both amateur and professional.
Entry Guidelines: No application fee. Receipt deadline for all entries: Monday, December 13th. The show is open to still photography in color or black and white, digital or film. All images must be submitted in digital format (jpeg) on a CD or via email, even if images are not taken digitally. Slides or printed photographs will not be considered. Application, bio, CD of images must arrive via mail or by hand delivery at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts, 28 Renne Avenue, Pittsfield, MA 01201 or emailed to mmoyborgen@pittsfieldch.com by this date at 5PM.

* One CD marked with the artist's name, or an email containing up to 6 high resolution images of work submitted & available for this show.
* Application form (Please click here to download an Artist Application Form)
* Artist biography (narrative paragraph or resume)
* Self-addressed stamped envelope (only if you wish materials returned to you.)
Notification of Jury Decision: Notification of the jurors’ decision will be sent out by email by Monday, December 20. All artists must provide an email address or acceptable substitute.
Installation Requirements for Accepted Work: All work accepted to the exhibition must be framed and/or professionally prepared for installation. All work must be properly wired for hanging and under glass or plexi-glass.
Delivery of All Accepted Work: Artwork to be delivered to the gallery on Monday, January 10 or Tuesday, January 11. All work must be marked with your name, address, city/state/zip, phone, email address, name of piece, dimensions, & sale price. Artists are responsible for transporting art to the gallery as well as picking up unsold work when the show is over. Anyone outside of the Pittsfield area is responsible for all shipping fees by providing a return label with shipment (Fed Ex or UPS).
Sales: All artwork sales are subject to the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts' commission of 20%. Work does not need to be for sale.
Pick-up of Exhibited Work: Monday, March 7: 10:30am - 5:30pm. The artist is responsible for ensuring their work will be picked up at the completion of the show. A daily fee of $5 will be charged for late pick-up.
