Marguerite Bride

Marguerite Bride has found her niche in the world of watercolor painting and it's painting portraits of buildings. Be they homes, businesses, run-down old barns, street scene, it doesn't matter. Buildings have personality, history, stories to tell, and Bride has perfected the art of telling their story in a painting. While watercolor is her current medium of choice, Ms. Bride has also worked in oils as well as printmaking, utilizing the collograph method.

Dreams defy physics and amplify experience with their ambiguous spaces, symbolic meanings, and sensations that seem to speak from and to a sixth sense. In this way, painting and dreaming have much in common, both in process and result.Painting allows my subconscious perceptions to register graphically, similar to the way they do in dreams. I have come to see painting as a developing solution to the unconscious.

The abstract styles really stir up my imagination, and I think about the infinite possibilities of what could be expressed on the canvas. I love biomorphic images. There is really nothing hugely complex in my own abstract art. It is just life, reflected in everything around us.

Painting has become my looking glass, my way of examining the world around me, as well as my own personal life. Through this lens I seek to explore the everyday, the ordinary in extraordinary ways. My art is heavily inspired by love of color, the dance of light and by life's illuminating moments. I am fascinated by the symbolic, the surreal, and all of nature - and how to integrate it all into my paintings. I work to create my reality in each painting and to convey something that is both universal and personal. Whatever the day brings, this creative journey never fails to amaze me and infuse my life with joy.

Autumn Doyle
foreverautumn.band@gmail.com

My name is Autumn Yyriol Doyle (Ni Dubhghaill in the Irish). I am an artist and musician living in and from Co. Berkshyre in the marshy highlands of western Massachusetts. Shape-shifting, transformation, shamanism, myth and mysticism hold great interest to me. Although creating primarily in photography i am by no means limited to it. The aforementioned ideals permeate my work in all of its forms; from painting and photography to conceptual installations and stacks of stones hidden deep in the forest. Musique too has been an integral part of my being. For the past nine years heading the only "Acoustic Doom" band, Forever Autumn, which works in tandem with my visual endeavors to further a life in flux, of shamanism, and gender-transition.
